He is survived by: his wife Elaine Inman Best; his children, Jimmy Levon Best Jr., Thomas Reynolds, Ryan Best, Mallory Hope Best, Vallory Best Simmons (Skye), Emily Wise, Courtney Wise and Kristin Moore (Arthur); his siblings, Ray Best (Tammie) and Diane Phillips; and his grandchildren, Nathaniel, Isabella Best, Zachery Ward Jr., Hunter Simmons and Luke Simmons.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Peacock Funeral Home (1227 S Madison St, Whiteville, NC 28472). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Wesley-Weyman Church.
