With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Christine Singletary Potter of Riegelwood, North Carolina, born in Clarkton, North Carolina, who passed away on July 26, 2021 at the age of 92. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Singletary and Augusta Faircloth Singletary; her stepmother Annie B. Singletary; her husband William M. Potter, Jr. (W. M.); her siblings, W. P., Horace Singletary, Marie S. Goode and Ann B. Jenrette; and her great grandchild Forrest Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Greg Potter (Vickie) of Oak Island, Billy Potter (Glenda) of Riegelwood and Susan Woodlief of Charleston, SC; her grandchildren, Greg Potter, Holly Potter, Robin Potter (Lisa), Cory Potter (Donna) and Leigh Hinson (Bucky); her great grandchildren, Sydney Potter, Emma Potter, Maddox Potter, Gigi Hinson, Hudson Potter and Lily Gifford; and her sister-in-law Barbara Mallard. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Christine's memory may be made to the Riegelwood Baptist Church Building Fund or to Lower Cape Fear LifeCare.
