As Violet departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Violet may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Violet leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Swinson and Edna Swinson; and her husband Wayne Matthews. She is survived by: her siblings, Jesse "Hardy" Swinson (Dawn Paffenroth), Larry Swinson (Olivia Swinson) and Barbara Vieau (Mark Vieau).
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Home of Richlands Thursday (137 Ervintown Rd, Richlands, NC 28574). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Jones Funeral Home of Richlands Friday (137 Ervintown Rd, Richlands, NC 28574).
