She is survived by: her husband Ira Sanders; her son Chris Searles (Christie) of Garner, NC; her sisters, Rosemary Berry (Kevin) of Perkinston, MS and Pam Avery (Roger) of Jacksonville, NC; her brother-in-law John McClain of Vanceboro, NC; her grandchildren, Ayden Searles, Braelyn Searles, Anna Creech and Amanda Creech; her nieces and nephews, John Michaelson (Heather) of Benson, NC, Ben Berry (Heather) of Perkinston, MS, Melissa Meyers (Eric) of New Bern, NC and Racheal Cardella (Joe) of Maine; and her pet Baby Doll.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Jacksonville Serviceman's Center.
