He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Guy and Lillie Humphrey of Richlands, N. C; his siblings, Bobby, Buddy, Matthew Humphrey, Eula Horne, Irene Jarman and Marie Jarman; his children, Earnest Humphrey and Daphene Humphrey; his wife Peggy of Chinquapin, N. C.; his children, Alan Humphrey (Gene) of Hampstead, N. C., Billy Humphrey (Janet) of Richlands, N. C., Linda Stokes (Gerald) of Wallace, N. C., Kathy Hudson (Troy) of Beulaville, N. C. and Darlene Abel (Harold) of Richlands, N. C.; his stepchildren, Sylvia Fitzpatrick of Jacksonville, N. C. and David Whaley (Missy) of Sneads Ferry, N. C.; and his sisters, Lottie Ramsey, Ann Summerlin and Lois Davis. He was also cherished by 14 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews.
