Richard Sanders Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Sanders of Richlands, North Carolina, who passed away on September 25, 2022 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Durwood Sanders and Marie Sanders; and his brother Robert. He is survived by: his wife Judy; his sons, Marc (Eliza) of Whitsett, NC and Robert "Bubba" (Amy) of Richlands; his brothers, Durwood and David; his sister-in-law Jean Dross of Richlands; his cousin Roy Wilcox (Lynn) of Braselton, GA.; his grandchildren, Scarlett "Scout" Rutter of Whitsett, NC, Lazarus Mayo of Richlands and Kenneth Allen (Savannah) of Richlands; and his great grandchildren, Kayden and Addison Allen of Richlands.
Memorial contributions may be made either to the Ricky Sanders Memorial Band Assistance Fund in c/o First Citizens Bank, P.O. Box 248 Richlands, NC 28574, which seeks to provide needy students instruments to participate in the Trexler Middle School band program or to the Royal Rangers in c/o Baysden Chapel Church 632 A.I.
