He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Myrlyn Galloway Gaines Humphrey; his daughters, Paula Kay Humphrey of Wilmington, Natalie Frances Humphrey of Wilmington and Alanna Maria Humphrey of Richlands; his stepson Richard Gaines of Las Vegas, NV; his grandchildren, Nathaniel Ray Pittman, Anamaria Lyde Pittman, Robert Paul Humphrey and Savannah Gaines; his brother Robert S. "Jack" Humphrey (Barbara) of Richlands; his nieces, Gina Humphrey and Jan Bryan; and also Midge Peed.
