He was predeceased by: his parents, Murrell Brown and Ida Swinson Brown; his wife Amy Sue Cottle Brown; and his sisters, Pearl Cottle and Addie Mae Williams.
He is survived by: his children, John Murrill Brown (Annette) of Richlands and Joyce Ann Balog (Robert) of Richlands. He is also survived by 5 grandsons, 10 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
