He was predeceased by: his parent Starkey Pierce; his wife Ellen Faye Pierce; his children, Wanda Faye Pierce and Jeffrey Pierce; and his brothers, Starkey "Buck" Pierce, Tony Pierce and Sam Pierce.
He is survived by: his parent Pearlie Hall Pierce; his children, Vanessa O'Kelley (Rickey) of Richlands, Anita Driver (Jimmy) of Richlands and Joel "Joey" Pierce (Brenda) of Swansboro; and his brothers, Norman Pierce and John Pierce.
