It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jack Donald McHugh of Richlands, North Carolina, who passed away on April 7, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy McHugh and Thomas McHugh; his former wives, Sylvia Font and Patricia Croom; his son John Croom; and his sisters, Linda Laffey and Carol McHugh.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Hunter Lowe-McHugh; and his children, Daniel, Theodore, Stephanie, Michael, Matthew, Greg and Elizabeth. He is also survived by many loving grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
He even set up a website for people to donate and contribute towards the postage. The operation became so well-known and utilized, that Hallmark would donate cards to be sent to the troops on his behalf.
