We are sad to announce that on February 5, 2025, at the age of 62, Evelyn Futrell Whaley of Richlands, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Evelyn Futrell has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her father Alvis Warren Futrell (Ned). She is survived by: her mother Nina Futrell; her sons, Joshua James [Jay] Whaley (Gina) and Michael Ray Whaley (Cierra); and her sisters, Debbie Harris (Ken) and Donna Jones. She is also survived by relatives including nieces, nephews, brother and sister in laws who always loved her as a sister as well as countless friends.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Baysden Chapel Church (223 A I Taylor Rd, Richlands, NC 28574). A graveside service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Whaley Cemetary.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Baysden Chapel Church.
