He is survived by : his children, Edward Lee Mills Jr. (Katia) of Fort Johnson, LA and Vydie West Beulaville (Jeff); his stepdaughter Brenda Wilborn (Joe) of South Haven, MS; his sister Jean Ginyard (Lee) of Jacksonville; and his grandchildren, Chase, Deonte, Navar, Anaya, Lina, Juliana, Ravan, MaeLynn and Evelyn. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Viewing was held on Friday, June 28th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Saunders Funeral Home (210 Bell Fork Rd, Jacksonville, NC 28540). A funeral service was held on Saturday, June 29th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Abundant Life International Baptist Cathedral (1518 Gum Branch Rd, Jacksonville, NC 28540).
