She was predeceased by: her father Robert Jones; her husband Ralph E. Jones; her siblings, James "Pee Wee" Jones, Dennie Earl Jones, Buddy Jones, Helen "Shine" Miller and Shirley "Dot" Melton; her son Edward Jones (Hilda); her sister Susie Jones; and her son-in-law Ted Mercer.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Mercer of Beulaville, Peggy King (Ricky) of Richlands and James Jones of Richlands; and her siblings, William "Boogie" Jones of Pink Hill, Clifton "Sammy" Jones of Richlands, Kathy "Doodle" Jones of Richlands, Margie King of Pink Hill, Mae Southard of Richlands, Minnie Thompson of Kinston and Janie Pate of Kinston. She is also survived by five grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
