She was predeceased by: her parents, George Sampson and Willa Norris Sampson; her husband Roy Hinman; her sister Cynthia Randall; and her daughter-in-law Deborah Goodwin.

She is survived by: her children, Brenda Nilson (Eric, Sr.), Wayne Goodwin of Toms River, NJ, Glenn Goodwin (Tina) and Derek Goodwin (Leasa); her sister Sandra Schrimsher; and her grandchildren, Christopher Goodwin, Cara Nilson, Nicole Goodwin, Shannon Nilson, Eric Nilson, Jr., Jennifer Nilson, Hunter Goodwin, Victoria Goodwin and Gabriella Goodwin.
