He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Irving Gibson, Sr. and Lucile Brown Gibson. He is survived by: his wife Mildred Wheless Gibson; his son Alan B. Gibson (Jennifer) of Albemarle, NC; and his grandchildren, Andrew Gibson, Luke Gibson and Rachel Gibson.
