He was predeceased by: his daughter Karen; and his stepdaughters, Peggy Caton and Patsy Brown. He is survived by: his wife Maxine Williams Spivey; his stepsons, Bobby L. Brady of Gold Hill and John Brady (Karen) of Richfield; his uncle Rufus Spivey of Albemarle; and his aunt Mary Levinor of Marshville. He is also survived by 9 step-grandchildren and 14 step great-grandchildren and 3 step great-great grandchildren.
