He was predeceased by: his parents, Powell Lester Boring and Lily Mae Crane Boring; his wife Carolyn Boring; and his brothers, Kyle, Clyde and Odell (Pete).
He is survived by: his children, Alan Lester Boring (Sarah) of Gold Hill, NC and Jeanette Stroud (Roland) of Richfield, NC; his grandchildren, Alan Boring (Alyssa), Jessica Dixon (Shea), Leslie Clark (Sean) and Karen Dennis (Kevin); his great grandchildren, Aubree, Sadie, Kelsie, Emma, Riley, Wyatt, Lauren and Blake; and his sister Myrtle Boring.
Memorials may be made to Parker Memorial Baptist Church or Lighthouse Baptist Church.
