He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Burnette Honeycutt and Bertha Mae Honeycutt; his sister Elizabeth Ann Neal; his brother-in-law Frank W. Neal; and his nephew Allen Ray Webb.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Honeycutt of Richfield, NC; his brother Roger D Honeycutt, Sr. (Joyce) of Concord; his stepchildren, Alan Ross Motley Jr. of Concord and Mary Ann Motley Taylor of Concord; and his nephews, Steve Marvin Honeycutt of Concord and Roger Dale Honeycutt Jr. of Concord. He is also survived by grandchildren.
