It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Ruth Bowles Wilson of Richfield, North Carolina, born in Hiddenite, North Carolina, who passed away on August 15, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Abraham Bowles and Elsie McKree Lackey Bowles; her husband William "Bill" Robert Wilson, Jr.; her siblings, Flake Bowles, Ray Bowles, Paul Bowles, Bill Bowles, Zane Bowles, Mildred Johnson and Mable Grant; and her grandson Aaron Carlton Wilson.
She is survived by: her children, Eric Wilson (Heather), William "Billy" Wilson (Pam), Carlton Wilson (Karen) and Martha Peters (Dan); her siblings, Shirley Gryder, Katherine Cook and Hugh Bowles; her grandchildren, Michelle W. Burris, Nikki P. Eagle, Chevonne W. Carmean, Amy Rummage, Laura Ellison, Benjamin Peters, William Richard Wilson, Jon Wilson and Tyler Helms; her great grandchildren, Sierra Adams, Destiny Martin, Skylar Wilson, Nevaeh Carmean, Karlie Burris, Addison Carmean, Nova Wilson, Emma Peters, Jenna Wilson, Josie Wilson, Garrett Eagle, Gabe Wilson, Connor Wilson, Luke Peters, Will Peters, Zen Wilson and Everett Wilson; and her great great grandchild Weston Adams.
