She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Jessie Dilday and Mary Brinkley Dilday; and her close friend Vick Kandefer. She is survived by: her children, Jennifer Brett (Jerry) of Murfreesboro, Mary Davis (Dennis) of Pendleton and James T. "Pete" Umphlette (Susan) of Conway; her brother Howard Dilday (Mable) of Murfreesboro; her grandchildren, Valerie Umphlette Wadsworth (Tim) of Aulander, Andrea Michelle Black (Rodney) of Murfreesboro, Jerri Kaye Birdsong (Robby) of Conway, Liza Davis (Joel Tyson) of Greenville, Jason Craig Umphlette (Ashley) of Roanoke Rapids, Steven Todd Umphlette (Summer) of Pendleton, Cody Lane Umphlette (Alexis) of Roanoke Rapids and Bruce Davis (Susan Lynn) of Conway; her great grandchildren, Morgan Wadsworth, Belle Wadsworth, Jordyn Umphlette, Kenleigh Tyson, Bentley Umphlette, Trace Umphlette, Blake Birdsong, Owen Black and Gavin Tyson; and her close friend Judy Davis of Como.
Due to the circumstances with COVID-19 restrictions, Garrett-Sykes Memorial Chapel, Murfreesboro, NC will be open for friends to pay their respects and sign the register book on Sunday, June 28, 2020, from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Garrett-Sykes Memorial Chapel, Murfreesboro, NC, and other times at the home of her daughter, Jennifer Brett.
