She was predeceased by: her parents, William Edward and Stella Inez Smithson Carter. She is survived by: her husband Phillip Lee Ricks, Sr.; her children, Phyllis Ricks Cannon (Steve) of Roanoke Rapids, Susan Ricks Camden (Sid) of Smith Beach, Virginia and Phil Ricks (Mary) of Halifax; her grandchildren, Tyler Camden, Ryan Camden, Carter Ricks, Kayleigh Widner (Hunter) and Cody Cannon; and her brother Don Carter (Teresa) of Portsmouth, Virginia..
