He was predeceased by: his parents, Wheeler Rawls and Rebecca J. Rawls; and his wife Irma Hatchell Dail Rawls. He is survived by: his stepchildren, Hardy Dail (Patsy) of Cary and Cheryl Barbour of Raleigh.
