It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clement Lassiter Sumner (Rich Square, North Carolina), who passed away on December 23, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Hoggard Sumner and Josie Lassiter Sumner; and his siblings, Everette Sumner, Mattie Sumner Morgan, Bernice Sumner Lynch, Edward "Bitty Brother" Sumner, Lonnie "Tug" Sumner and James "Sug" Sumner.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Lane; his brothers, Ted "Pig" Sumner of Conway, David "Tiny" Sumner (Irmgard) of Conway and Leroy "Bay" Sumner (Sandra) of Covington, Georgia; his nephew Neal Sumner (Joyce) of Lasker; his great-niece Crystal Sumner Mann (Matt) of Conway; his great-nephew Michael Sumner of Lasker; and also Olive Mann. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, extended family.
A graveside service was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Cedar Lawn Cemetery. Visitation was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 3:30 PM at the Cedarlawn Cemetery. A reception was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
