He was predeceased by: his parents, Alda Louise Guy Doby and Alvin Issac Doby; his wife Faye Mitchell Doby; and his brother Troy Doby. He is survived by: his sons, Alvin Doby (Kathi) of Raleigh and Rick Doby of Fuquay Varina; his grandchildren, Allison Doby of Raleigh and Chad Doby (Tara) of Willow Springs; his great grandchildren, Madelyn Doby and Collins Doby; and his sister Pat Mahoney.
