He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Edwards and Mabel Currin Edwards; and his wife Elsie Edwards. He is survived by: his children, Amy Tawes (Kent) of Raleigh, Audrey Swartz (Pete) of New York, Benji Edwards of Wake Forest and Anitra Carter of Clayton. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren.
