He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Louise Henderson James and Alvis James, Sr.; his daughter Vickie Mae James; his siblings, Martha James Stephens, Emma James, Cora Lee James, Rosa Corbett, Pauline Sherells, Hubert Jack James, Edward James, Ellis "Sam" Henderson, Sr. and Alvis James, Jr. (Cricket); his daughter-in-law Cheryl James (Shirdean James); his wife Cornelia Gunn James; his children, Woodrow James, Jr., Dan James and Sharon James; his grandchildren, Lakiza James, Stephanie James and Selena Price; his great grandchildren, Paris Womack, Nashaun Price, Destiny Price, Jeremiah Price and Malachi Herbin; his siblings-in-law, Lucy James, Mae Gunn, Yvonne Gunn, Catherine Flippen, Charles Gunn (Mary), Curtis Gunn and Walter Gunn; his cousins, Charles and Mary Henderson; and his close friends, Thomas Williams, Mario Herbin and Michael Best. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
