He was predeceased by: his grandparents, James Stone Daniel, Mamie Bell Phillips, William Burton (Telley) and Martha Elliott Willis; his in-laws, Robert and Loretta Rimmer; and his nephew Brad Sowers.
He is survived by: his parents, Bobby Willis and Merry Willis (Reidsville); his wife Tanya Rimmer Willis; his children, David Alex Willis (Louise) and Merry Kate Parks (Dustin); his brother Benjamin Willis (Sandy); his grandchildren, Trevor Alexander Willis, Ellie Katreen Parks, Walston Devin Willis and Marleigh Wren Parks; his pets, Louie and Cupid; and his caregiver Kimberly Smith. He is also survived by numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 30th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Baptist Temple Church (729 Wentworth St, Reidsville, NC 27320). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in David's name may be made to the mikeroweWORKS Foundation, honoring his commitment to supporting blue-collar workers, or to Baptist Temple Church in Reidsville.
