It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Griffin Soyars (Reidsville, North Carolina), who passed away on March 21, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Vincent and Lydia Page Griffin; her husband James Melvin Soyars; her daughter Evelyn S. Garrett; and her siblings, Vincent Odell Griffin, Reid Johnson Griffin, Jane Griffin Sharp and Juanita G. Rodgers.
She is survived by: her son Mark Tryon Soyars; her sister Katie G. Rice; her granddaughters, Brittany Angell (Michael), Amanda Gardner (Nick), Kendel Garrett and Jennifer Garrett; and her great grandchildren, Xander Pulliam, Anthony Pulliam and Theodore Gardner.
