She was predeceased by: her father Aubrey Raymond Tate; her husband Tommy Stone, Sr.; her son Tommy Stone, Jr.; her daughter-in-law Cathy Apple Stone; and her siblings, Felton, Clyde, Grady, Wade, Larry Tate and Sadie Zimmerman.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kathy Gwin (Marty), Darlene Stone and Tammy Farmer (Jay); her grandchildren, Tonya Pate (Brad), Debra Brown (Kelly), Taryn Rigney (Wayne), Matthew Stone (Tori), Jayce Farmer and Ashley Cline; her great grandchildren, Jonah, Cheyenne Rigney, Tevin Cline Jr. and Jeremiah Blackwell; her sisters-in-law, Juanita Tate, Ann Tate, Lois Vernon and Louise Billingsley; and her pet Wishbone. She is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
Vernie Tate Stone, 76, entered into the gates of Heaven on Saturday, November 19, 2022 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease.
