He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Payne and Susie Blankenship Payne; and his wife Joyce Ann Bourne Payne. He is survived by: his daughter Rebecca Payne Boyles (David); and his grandchildren, Zachary Christopher Boyles, Hannah Elizabeth Boyles, Kendall Rae Draughn and Kylie Raye Draughn. He is also survived by five sisters; two brothers; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bethlehem Methodist Church (1891 Bethlehem Church Rd, Reidsville, NC 27320). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
