With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shelby Smith Wetmore of Reidsville, North Carolina, who passed away on September 11, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elsie Smith and Lois Parrish Smith; her husband Herman Wetmore; her son Lewis Wetmore; her daughter-in-law Deborah Wetmore; and her sister Loretta "Fern" Jones.
She is survived by: her son David H. Wetmore of Walkertown, NC; her siblings, Colin Smith (Jo) of Reidsville and Patricia "Pat" Hall of Greensboro; her grandchildren, Jody Smith (Adam), April Tucker and Heather Slate (Patrick); and her great grandchildren, Julie Tucker, Samantha Tucker, Jesse Slate (Hallie), Jay Slate, Tyler Smith, Brock Smith and Sam Smith.
