It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rosetta Catherine Scales (Reidsville, North Carolina), born in Rockingham, North Carolina, who passed away on May 27, 2023, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her siblings, Edward Scales, Gladys Scales Brown and Virginia Scales Ashe. She is survived by: her sister Elizabeth Scales; her nephew Brennan Lea; her great-niece Evelette "Evey" Lea; her great-nephew Oliver Lea; her siblings, Shirley Carter, Helen Tatum, Dorothy Willis (Percy), Mary Scales Moore, Brenda Scales Lea, Douglas Scales and David Scales (Marlina); her brother-in-law Fredrick Brown; and her aunt Cora Broadnax. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
