We are sad to announce that on March 22, 2025, at the age of 67, Robert Whitsett (Reidsville, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Robert departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Robert. Though Robert may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Whitsett and Elizabeth Cummings Whitsett; and his brothers, Tommy Lee Whitsett, Samuel Whitsett and George Whitsett.
He is survived by: his wife Dora Whitsett; his sister Mary Whitsett Poteat (Ronald) of Reidsville, NC; his nephew Michael B. Whitsett "Pete" of Mebane, NC; and his siblings-in-law, Charlie Young (Adriene), Michael Young of Greensboro, NC, Corliss Young of Greensboro, NC, Mary Pinnix (Randy) of Gibsonville, NC and Barbara White (James) of Reidsville, NC. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McLaurin-Harris Funeral Home (721 E Morehead St, Reidsville, NC 27320).
