He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Swanson and Carrie Martin Carroll. He is survived by: his wife Gracie Virginia Johnson Carroll; and his children, Doris Renee Manley, Robert Allen Carroll II (Laurie) and Edward Hunter Carroll (Lynn). He is also survived by eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many dear nieces and nephews.
