He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Arthur Cain and Cora Frances Cain; and his siblings, Cranford, Benny Cain and Bonnie Faye Cain.
He is survived by: his wife Edith Cain; his children, Trisha Parsons (Michael), Wendy Chambers (Tuck) and Mechelle Purdy (Lee); his grandchildren, Kent Parsons (Cristy), Cameron Parsons (Chrystal), Hayden Parsons, Kendall Hershman, Justin Purdy, Chloe Hershman and Maddox Hershman; his great grandchildren, Kobe, Miles, Weston, Abigail and Jack Parsons; and his brothers, Cleo and Bobby Joe Cain.
