She was predeceased by: her parents, Wesley Loye and Ruby Loye; and her sister Pam Mock. She is survived by: her husband Lawrence "Larry" Murphy; her children, Eddie Murphy (Susan), David Murphy (Lori) and LouAnn Short (Jeff); her sister Gaye Mabe; her grandchildren, Tyler Murphy (Mariye), Jeffrey "Jeff" Short (Angelina), Nikki Short Bearden (Dylan), Sammy and Shelby Murphy; her great grandchildren, Haley Powers, Kaleb Short, Charli and Blake Bearden; and her pet Princess.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 4th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wilkerson Funeral Home (1909 Richardson Dr, Reidsville, NC 27320). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 at the Reidlawn Cemetery (1530 Barnes St, Reidsville, NC 27320).
