He was predeceased by: his parents, Gaither Anderson Shadrick and Mary Ivey Callahan Shadrick; his siblings, Frances Louise Foster, James Shadrick and Ernest Shadrick; and his sons, Stephen Ray Shadrick and David Michael Shadrick.
He is survived by: his wife Julie Landreth Shadrick; his children, Anita Kirkman (Paul) of Pleasant Garden, Karen Kiszely (Scott) of Pleasant Garden, Danny Strickland (Bonnie) of Julian and James Strickland (Teresa) of Greensboro; his daughter-in-law Jennifer Shadrick of Greensboro; his sisters, Nancy Nifong of Winston-Salem and Shelby Sloan of Mocksville; his sister-in-law Kay Shadrick of Fowlerville, Michigan.; and his grandchildren, Steve Shadrick, Sonjia Shadrick Watkins, Jeremy Shadrick, Carolyn Shadrick, Kimberly Shadrick, David Kirkman (Stacy), Casey Kirkman, Lelia Kirkman Duke (Justin), David Shadrick (Jennifer), Kristin Shadrick Ipock (Turner), Nora Strickland, Thomas Strickland, Robert Strickland, Jamie Strickland and Ashley Strickland. He is also survived by 25 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren, and many much-loved nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel (6000 W Gate City Blvd, Greensboro, NC 27407). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
