He was predeceased by: his parents, James William and Kiness Mildred McDonald Garrett; and his brothers, Kenneth A. Garrett, Jerry William Garrett and Gene Leonard Garrett.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Bradley "Sandy" Garrett; his children, Bethany Shannon Garrett of Reidsville, Lisa Marie Bradley of Reidsville, Paul E. Garrett, Jr. (Angie) of Alabama and James Maurice "Jim" Garrett (Robyn) of Ocean Isle; and his sister Frances G. "Frankie" Cox of Greensboro. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 29th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Citty Funeral Home Chapel (308 Lindsey St, Reidsville, NC 27320).
