She was predeceased by: her parents, Loyd Rice and Luella Begley Rice; her son David Lee Griggs; and her siblings, Herbert Rice and Virginia Rice Geller.
She is survived by: her children, Phyllis Griggs Shaffer (Roger), Steve Griggs (Debra) and Arch Griggs (Vanessia); and her sister Ellen Rice Shaw. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 3 step great grandchildren.
