She was predeceased by: her parents, Minnie Bynum Mauney and Robert A. Mauney; and her brother Charles Edwin Mauney. She is survived by: her siblings, Barbara Jean Mauney, Minnie Mauney Powell, Daisy Ann Mauney Taylor and Robert A. Mauney, Jr.; her husband Jerome Murphy; her daughters, Gina Bryant, Lesa Yvonne Williams, Marlys Ratliffe (William Edward) and Alana Moser (Brian); her grandchildren, Dr. Laura Bryant, Taura Bryant, Kaura Bryant, Sanaa Ratliffe and William Ratliffe, III; her sisters-in-law, Annie Neal (James) and Irma Stone; and her close friend Barbara L. Johnson (James). She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
