She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Talley and Lula Talley; her husband Hilton Monsees; and her siblings, Edith Hester and Clarence E. Talley, Jr..
She is survived by: her daughter Lynn Carter (Ray); her grandson Nolan Monsees Carter (Kelsey); her great grandchild Howard "Howie" Monsees Carter; and her sister Peggy T. Rice. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
