He was predeceased by: his siblings, George, Cecil, Elmer, Otis and Ruth Foster Lindsey.
He is survived by: his wife Mildred Scales Foster; his children, Johnnie Foster, Sr., Eric Foster, Sr. (Thalia), Greg Foster and Tenika Foster of Reidsville; his sisters, Claudia Foster Bellfield of Durham and Dr. Patricia Foster of Platteville, Wisconsin; his sisters-in-law, Louise Foster and Annise Foster; and his close friends, Leroy Farrish, Tyrone and Charles Settle. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
