He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Scales and Maggie Lee Fields; his daughter LaShonda Kellam; and his brother Robert Fields. He is survived by: his daughter Taneaka Kellam; and his grandchildren, Janai Bolden, Ai'Yana Wilson, Jabari Kellam, Te'Aja Johnson and Za'Nya Kellam.
