She was predeceased by: her parents, John Clayton McCollum and Georgia Adkins McCollum; her husband Charles Everette Stone; and her siblings, Henry Clayton McCollum, Paul Thomas McCollum and Elizabeth McCollum Carter.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Stone Vaden (Kenneth) and Charles Anthony Stone (Martha); her grandchildren, Kelly Vaden Hart (Mark), Kaleb Vaden, Kurt Vaden (Shari), Katie Vaden Rust (Kevin) and Amanda Stone Thomas (Dan); her great grandchildren, Jacob Vaden, Clayton Hart, Dakota Cornett, William Vaden, Lilly Hart, Grace Rust, Ella Kate Rust and Hazel Grace Vaden; her sister Nancy McCollum Moricle; her sister-in-law June Cobb Stone; and her caregivers, Kimberly Peterman, Gina Ledbetter, Charlene Benfield Martin, Jada Smith, Abby Peterman and Katie Carter.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Wilkerson Funeral Home (1909 Richardson Dr, Reidsville, NC 27320). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at the Mount Carmel Global Church (361 Mt Carmel Church Rd, Reidsville, NC 27320).
In lieu of flowers, contributions can may be made to Ancora Compassionate Care and Mount Carmel Cemetery Fund.
