She was predeceased by: her parents, Jim Dove and Nannie Chapmon Dove; her husband W. D. Rakestraw; her son Dan Rakestraw; and her siblings, Margie Dove Puckett, Eva Dove Cox and Bobby Dove Sr..
She is survived by: her siblings, MariBeth Dagenhart Woolard (Sam) and Dwight Dove (Pam); and her daughter-in-law Lisa Rakestraw. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
