She was predeceased by: her parents, Pearl Allen and Minnie Ruth Allen; her former husband Dr. Frank Almond; her son Gregory Almond; and her sisters, Pearl Allen Jr., Gladys Bunn, Nancy Bridges and Daisy Ward.
She is survived by: her daughters, Debbie Brauneck of Palatka, FL and Janeen Goodwin of Raleigh, NC; her grandchildren, Matthew Brauneck of Naples, FL, Daniel Brauneck of St. Augustine, FL, Shelby Willoughby (Richard) of Tampa, FL and Allison Goodwin of Raleigh, NC; her great grandchild Ophelia Brauneck; and her siblings, Kitty Barnes of Wilson, NC and Kirby Allen of Rockwell, NC. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
