He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Jernigan and Lorona Faulk Jernigan; and his siblings, Harold, Larry and Anna.
He is survived by: his wife Dolores Oliver Jernigan; his son Linwood Jernigan (Ann); his granddaughters, Julie and Katie Moore (Tom) of Charlotte, NC; and his nephews, Ken Soles (Beth) of Wilmington, NC, Eric Mayhew (Ryan) of Arvada and Jonathan Mayhew of Tokyo, Japan..
