With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Faye Smith Cheek of Reidsville, North Carolina, who passed away on October 2, 2023 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bessie Smith and Harvey Smith; her husband James Larry Cheek; and her brothers, Jimmy Smith and Larry Elmo Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Denise C. Johnson (Wally), Debbie C. Pearson (Craig) and Mark Cheek (Jennie); her grandchildren, Chris Pearson (Morgan), Nick Pearson (Brittany) and Lindsey Talbert (Colton); her children, Laura Johnson and Michael; her great grandchildren, Laikyn Pearson, Georgia Wade, Vivian Talbert, Walter Wade and Gunner Pearson; her siblings, Gary Smith (Margie) and Diane Day (Barry); and her siblings-in-law, Jane Smith and Gene Cheek. She is also survived by extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the hospice of Rockingham County at PO BOX 284 Wentworth, NC 27375.
