He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Vester, Stradie Dial, Ralph and Tressie Slate. He is survived by: his children, Ramani Slate of Lumberton and Ronnie Slate Jr. of Raeford; his parents, Ralph Slate and Joyce Slate; his siblings, Ralph Allen Slate (Priscilla) of Red Springs and Belinda Joyce Slate Williamson (Rocky Kurt) of Rennert; and his aunts and uncles, Lucy Dial of Red Springs, Eleanor Locklear of Pembroke, James Dial of Red Springs and Mike Slate (Springs).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Boles Funeral Home - Red Springs (102 S Vance St, Red Springs, NC 28377). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the South Hoke Baptist Church (4205 Old Maxton Rd, Red Springs, NC 28377). A burial was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the South Hoke Baptist Church Cemetery (4205 Old Maxton Rd, Red Springs, NC 28377).
