She was predeceased by: her parents, Alva Sr. Oxendine and Fannie Oxendine; her siblings, Alva Oxendine, Jr., William Oxendine, Franklin Oxendine and Viler Jane Oxendine; and her niece Sheila Oxendine.
She is survived by: her husband William Lowery, Jr.; her sons, Marshall Lynn Lowery, Jeffery Lowery and Joshua Lowery (Amy Maynor) of Rennert, NC; her grandchildren, Aydon, Alyssa, Gabriel, Samuel and Joselyn Lowery; her brothers, Robert "Doc" Oxendine of Dundalk, MD and Wheeler Oxendine (Ann) of Red Springs, NC; and her sister-in-law Sylvia Oxendine of Red Springs, NC. She is also survived by relatives and friends.
